Former Riruta-Kiambu county MCA Samuel Njoroge finally sentenced to 30 years in Jail for the murder of his wife. Njoroge was found guilty of the murder of Lucy Njambi, an incident occurred on January 24, 2018. Kiambu High Court Judge Joel Ngugi sentence MCA Njoroge alongside his co-accused Joyce Njambi and Wilson Mwangi.
The late Njambi was found by Good Samaritans in a coffee plantation in Magumoini off Kiambu-Ruiru Road during the night. Witnesses said they got attracted by muffled screams of a lady crying for help. The lady was naked & appeared to have been badly doused with acid.
The good samaritans managed to rush her to hospital where she later succumbed due to injuries. However, before she took her last breath on hospital bed, Njambi told her family members that six people among them her husband Njoroge are those who tortured her leaving her for dead.
