Farah Maalim kicked out of Sarova Hotel in Mombasa over his inflammatory remarks on GenZs.

Daadab MP Farah Maalim was kicked out of the Sarova Whitesands Hotel in Mombasa on Friday, July 12, after making controversial remarks about Generation Z (Gen Z) that sparked outrage among Kenyans. The hotel’s management took swift action in response to the public uproar, ejecting the MP from their facilities.

Sarova Whitesands CEO Jimi Kariuki confirmed that Maalim was sent out of the hotel after his remarks, which were deemed inflammatory and unacceptable by many. The MP had reportedly checked into the hotel as a guest but was forced to leave due to the backlash from Kenyans.

According to reports, Maalim had made the remarks during a recent event, where he criticized Gen Z for their perceived lack of respect for authority and traditional values. He was quoted as saying, “Gen Z is a lost generation that doesn’t know how to respect their elders and follow the rules.”

The MP’s comments quickly went viral on social media, with many Kenyans expressing their outrage and disappointment. Some took to Twitter to call for action against Maalim, with one user writing, “Farah Maalim was kicked out of Sarova Whitesand in Mombasa after Kenyans sent greetings to the hotel management. He will never know peace!”

The incident has sparked a wider discussion about the generational divide and the need for mutual understanding and respect. While some have defended Maalim’s right to express his views, others argue that his remarks were insensitive and divisive.

In a statement, the hotel management stated that they do not condone hate speech or inflammatory remarks and that they took action to protect the safety and comfort of their guests. They also apologized for any inconvenience caused by the incident.

As the debate continues, it remains to be seen whether Maalim will face any further consequences for his remarks. However, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fostering open and respectful dialogue between different generations.
