KAA Urges Early Arrival for Passengers to Avoid Delays on Tuesday

July 22, 2024 – Nairobi, Kenya

The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has issued a statement urging all passengers scheduled for flights on Tuesday to arrive early at the airport to avoid potential delays. This announcement comes amid expected high passenger volumes and ongoing security measures.

In a press release, KAA emphasized the importance of early arrival to ensure a smooth travel experience. “We advise all passengers scheduled for flights on Tuesday to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their departure time. This will allow sufficient time for check-in, security screening, and any other pre-flight procedures,” the statement read.

The authority highlighted that the expected increase in passenger traffic could lead to longer queues and extended wait times. “We are anticipating a significant number of travelers on Tuesday, which may result in congestion at various points within the airport. Arriving early will help mitigate any potential delays and ensure that passengers have ample time to complete all necessary processes,” KAA noted.

KAA also reassured passengers that all necessary measures are being taken to handle the increased traffic efficiently. “We have put in place additional staff and resources to manage the higher number of passengers and ensure that all operations run smoothly. However, we still urge passengers to play their part by arriving early and cooperating with airport staff,” the statement continued.

The authority’s call for early arrival is particularly pertinent given the ongoing security protocols in place. “Enhanced security measures remain in effect at all our airports. These procedures are essential for the safety and security of all passengers and airport users. Therefore, it is crucial for passengers to factor in extra time for security checks,” KAA explained.

KAA’s statement also reminded passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. “We recommend that travelers stay informed about their flight schedules by regularly checking with their airlines. Any changes or updates to flight timings will be communicated by the respective airlines,” the statement advised.

In conclusion, KAA reiterated its commitment to providing a safe and efficient travel experience for all passengers. “Our primary goal is to ensure that all travelers have a seamless journey through our airports. By arriving early, passengers can help us achieve this objective and avoid unnecessary stress on their travel day,” the statement concluded.

Passengers are encouraged to follow KAA’s guidelines and arrive early to ensure a hassle-free start to their journeys.
