The FA Cup defending champions, Arsenal, were sent home after a 1-0 win to Southampton. The hard fight to stay in the competition saw the saints raising their game to humiliate the Arteta’s side on Saturday afternoon, January 23.

Arsenals Boss Mikel Arteta kept a relatively tame side and left significant players on the bench while the saints opted for a stronger team. In the second half, Arteta’s side made efforts to restore their glory to remain in the competition but failed. Despite several steps, the boys could not restore parity, and it ended Southampton 1-0 Arsenal.
