Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party formally registered

The Azimio La Umoja One-Kenya Coalition Political Party has been officially registered. Ann Nderitu, the Registrar of Political Parties, announced on Wednesday that the group of 23 political parties had been officially registered after completing the proper procedures.

On April 1, 2022, the Coalition, led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, deposited the contents of the partnership agreement in Nderitu’s office. After successful registration, the Coalition’s Political Party’s symbol and colors will be five stars against a blue backdrop with the words Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party in the middle.
The notification comes just a day after four of the outfit’s constituent parties, all of which are members of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA), appealed for the registration to be halted due to outstanding difficulties, which were eventually rectified by the Coalition Party Secretariat.

The wing led by Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU’s Gideon Moi, United Democratic Party (UDPCyrus )’s Jirongo, and Movement for Democracy and Growth’s Ugenya MP David Ochieng urged that certain concerns be resolved before the registration process is completed.
