A part of the ODM leadership has finally taken a stand, threatening to end their political relationship with the Jubilee Party. A relationship that came through a handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has recently seen many challenges after Deputy President Williasm Ruto felt in the dark in the most discussion.
For the whole part of the handshake, the hustler movement leader has been criticizing the handshake terming it as plans for the 2022 elections.
As a result, the ODM leaders have seen him as a thorn under their skins, and the frustrations from a section of Ruto allies have forced them to threaten to end the handshake.
According to our sources, the Orange Democratic Movement leaders felt undermined by the ruling party and urged the president to crack his whip on the DP.

Orengo, the senate minority leader, blamed DP Ruto for derailing progress in the plans made to elevate and develop the Kenyan people, which is why it has been challenging to attain several milestones and unity.
“As ODM, we made a choice to support and work with the government. But we will only do so when they are on track. If they keep on provoking us, then we are ready to go to the trenches for the sake of Kenyans who are looking p to us,” Mr. Orengo stated.
Also, he added that it is uncalled for the DP to blame Mr. Odinga for any failures in the implementation of development plans by the ruling party. Orengo dismissed any claims that the handshake is about 2022 elections but focused on the Building Bridges Initiative( BBI).
