Diamond Platinumz  has defended his ‘Mtasubiri’ song after the ban

Diamond’s career has taken another hit after the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) banned his song ‘Mtasubiri’ on Friday. According to TCRA, the film contains “disrespectful church choir moments.” Diamond and Zuchu are shown performing in a church choir and then going somewhere else in the video.

They then told all local television stations and digital platforms to stop broadcasting the video unless Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu removed the “disrespectful scene” from it. Diamond accused the authorities of treating his music unfairly on Instagram. He claims the scene in question does not feature revealing clothing, drugs, or blasphemy songs in the chapel.
“I kept wondering what I did wrong in that scene. Did they dress inappropriately? No. Did I dance indecently or say anything filthy in church? No. Did we smoke bhangi or cigarettes? “he stated “We’re not the first to shoot music in a church, though. Although some people shoot extremely vulgar videos, their content is not prohibited.” Diamond went on to say that this is why he will never take part in local award presentations.
