Governor Oparanya To Cover Football Fan Isaac Juma’s Burial Costs, Educate His Children

Governor of Kakamega, Wycliffe Oparanya, has promised to cover the funeral costs of Isaac Juma Onyango, a seasoned football fan.
Onyango was slashed to death on January 26 in Bunyenjere village, Mumias West, Kakamega county, by an assailant who raided his home at night.

Governor Oparanya promised that his county government would pay for the burial and that three of his 12 children in secondary school would be educated.Juma’s funeral will take place on Saturday, February 12. On Friday, Juma’s remains will depart Mumias mortuary in a procession that will take him to Bukhungu Stadium and Mumias Complex for viewing and paying last respects.

Following the viewing, the remains will be carried to his residence for a requiem liturgy and overnight vigil before being buried the next day.Fernandes Baraza, a former Ketraco MD, also promised to help educate his three boys and two daughters.
