Building Bridges Effort (BBI) supporters do not need to apologize for advocating a peace initiative, said ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru on Friday. “Asking our elected community leaders to apologize for advocating peace in our communities through Building Bridges is ludicrous,” he tweeted. Ruto remarked during his Lamu County campaign that President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga should apologize to Kenyans for wasting their time with the BBI discussions.
“The Handshake brothers should apologize to the Kenyan people. They have squandered four years of our lives “Ruto remarked. Because of the BBI program, the duo damaged the Big Four agenda, which was supposed to provide jobs for the youth, according to Ruto. The DP also alleged that the bill’s proponents spent billions of taxpayer dollars on the initiative just to have it declared unlawful.
