Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o, a Lang’ata aspirant, has indicated that he intends to spend more than Ksh40 million on his campaigns. Many Kenyans want someone who will help them right away, according to Jalas, who spoke to Citizen TV today. The money will go toward his campaign strategies and logistics, he said.

“It’s not about giveaways or anything, but a well-oiled campaign could easily cost Ksh30 million to Ksh40 million. You will be able to move into any location and communicate your problems with this.” Because the country is recovering from a Covid-19 pandemic, Jalang’o believes the 2022 elections will be costly and would force politicians to delve deeper into their purses.
While most politicians want to get to the ground and deliver their manifestos and pledges to the people, he claims that the scenario drives them to go beyond that and end up feeding and assisting people. When asked how he plans to support his efforts, Jalang’o responded that during a fundraiser last year, his friends contributed a significant sum of money.
