Kanini Kega, the Jubilee party’s director of elections and a Kieni MP, has debunked reports that the Jubilee party is offering hopefuls direct nomination tickets. Kanini stated at a press conference on Friday that after the party’s nominations are completed, contenders will receive a certificate. Maina Kamanda, a nominated MP who was also there, stated that the ground will be the most important factor in the party nominations. Kamanda further stated that, despite the fact that aspirants from Jubilee and the ODM were competing for the same seats in Nairobi, they would not allow Kenya Kwanza to win any of the positions.
Jeremiah Kioni, the Secretary-General of the Jubilee Party, argued that tiny parties were being utilized to divide the country. “You’re in UDA when you’re in those parties,” Kioni explained. At the event, Ol Karau MP David Njuguna Kiaraho resigned from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and joined Jubilee. Kiaraho explained that he made the decision to point them in the correct direction. “I had briefly left the Jubilee Party and joined the opposition, but I have now returned home. Those looking for me should know that I’m in Jubilee and Azimio la Umoja “Kiaraho said.
