Kabogo, Moses Kuria, Wanjigi make surprise appearance at UDA’s NDC

Jimmy Wanjigi, a billionaire businessman, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, and former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo all made surprise appearances at the United Democratic Alliance’s (UDA) National Delegates Conference (NDC) on Tuesday at the Kasarani stadium. The leaders entered the full stadium, which was strewn with the UDA party’s green and yellow colors, amid applause, making it clear where their allegiance rests. DP William Ruto was presented as the National Party Leader and the NDC’s flag bearer in the 2022 elections by the party’s delegates earlier on Tuesday.

Wanjigi, who also eft the ODM to join Safina in early March, said that he will run for Kenya’s top position under the Paul Muite-led party, while Kabogo and Kuria are competing for Kiambu Governor on the Chama Cha Kazi (CCM) and Tujibebe Wakenya, respectively. Musalia Mudavadi, the leader of the African National Congress, and Moses Wetangula, the CEO of Ford Kenya, are among the other leaders present at the NDC. DP Ruto was also given the authority to form alliances or coalitions ahead of the August elections during the first-ever UDA NDC.
Senator Kimani Wamatangi of Kiambu County has also joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) led by Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the August General Election. Senator Wamatangi, who has been outspoken about his support for the Azimio la Umoja movement, was greeted by DP Ruto and other Kenya Kwanza leaders at a rally on Sunday at Thika Stadium. Wamatangi claims that the decision to swap camps was reached after extensive talks with the electorate.
