On Wednesday 21st October a court in Nairobi issued a warrant of arrest for the County Government of Kilifi boss Amason Jefwa Kingi over an extortion case.

Kingi was handed the warrant of arrest after he failed to appear in court four (4) times consecutively after 4 men tied to extort 30 million from him.
The county boss alongside other witnesses needs to be presented before the court for further investigations.
The traders who allegedly attempted to extort the county boss are George Ngugi, Abdul Aziz Alim, Moses Musee Maluki, and Noah Akala Aduwo.
The suspects who denied the charges are said to have poised as Ethics and Anti-corruption officials (EACC) before executing their deal in 2018 at Gracia Hotel in Kilimani.
