KISUMU BOYS High School principal Peter Obwogo dies at Aga Khan Hospital, BOM chairman Prof Charles Nyakiti confirms.

Following the death of Principal Peter Obwogo, Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o expressed his condolences to the Kisumu boys high-school fraternity. The late Obwogo was a brilliant teacher, according to Nyong’o, who guided the Boys School to new heights on the national academic map. He described him as a skilled and a resourceful educator, according to him.

The Governor further added that since his posting to school, he had worked hard to sustain the school’s national ratings and they will greatly miss him. “On behalf of the people of Kisumu, I wish to send heartfelt condolences to Obwogo’s Family, friends, Kisumu Boy’s high school community, and the Kenya Secondary Schools Headteachers’ Association for this big loss,” he said in a statement.

The head teacher’s death at Agah Khan Hospital in Kisumu was confirmed today.The death of the principal has created a large vacancy in the education sector, according to Charles Nyakiti, chairman of Kisumu Boys School of Management. They have lost a terrific teacher, leader, and manager, according to Nyakiti. “We’re going to Busia with the rest of the family to give our condolences,” he stated. Obwogo had expressed interest in running for the Matayos Parliamentary seat on the ODM ticket at the time of his death.
