For those who are unaware, a series of images, videos, and audio excerpts were uploaded on the Instagram account of Harriet Robson, Greenwood’s girlfriend, early Sunday morning. The English international was accused of physically attacking Robson in the posts in question, which have since been deleted.
Manchester United, for their part, has issued a statement admitting that they are “informed” of the claims leveled against Greenwood, while also emphasizing that they “do not condone violence of any kind”:
A spokeswoman for the big sports company revealed to respected site The Athletic that they, too, had been “very worried” by the troubling allegations. As a result, the international firm intends to “continue to keep a careful eye on the situation.”
