Rumours had it that the newly formed coastal party PAA (Pamoja African Alliance) that is spearheaded by Kilifi County Governor Amason Jefwa Kingi was headed for a coalition with the opposition leader Raila Odinga’s ODM. That is according to the reports made by the Daily Nation newspaper on Friday, 17th 2021.
It took less than 3 hours and the ODM Party secretariat through their Twitter account refuted the claims and termed them as rumours and there are no talks ongoing between the two parties and therefore, they called upon their followers to treat the message delivered by Daily Nation as absurd.
This article is MISLEADING. There are infact no ongoing talks between ODM and PAA.
Ready the statement.

On the other hand, PAA has also refuted the claims of having talks with ODM or any other party as they are intact in the recruitment process.
The newborn coastal party has since inception not accorded the necessary support from the political big wigs from the coastal region for the likes of Governor Ali Hassan Joho and the counterparts from Taita Taveta county, Granton Samboja.
1. (Pamoja African Alliance) PAA is not in talks with any other political Party as of now.
2. The contents of this article are therefore false and misleading.

Could the Kilifi governor Amason Kingi be using PAA as a tool to seek political mileage and stay afloat in Kenyan politics now that he is in his last term as a governor?
