Ramadhan 2022 moon sighting

Ramadan, also known as Ramazan or Ramzan, has a different start and end date each year since the Islamic calendar is based on the lunar cycle, hence the start and end dates are determined by the sighting of the crescent moon. Depending on the sighting of the crescent moon, Ramadan may begin in India on the evening of April 2 or 1 Ramadan 1443 AH, with the first fast being observed on April 3, 2022.

The crescent of Ramadan is traditionally first seen in Saudi Arabia and some areas of India, as well as some Western countries, and then in the remainder of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other countries a day later. It’s that time of year again, as Muslims throughout the world prepare to see the crescent moon of Ramadan 2022 tonight in many countries.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, lasting 720 hours, or four weeks and two days, during which Muslims fast between sunrise and sunset, pray for peace and guidance, give back to the community through charity or zakaat, or humanitarian activities such as feeding the poor, and reflect to enlighten their souls.
