Mike Mbuvi Sonko, the former Nairobi governor, has been set free on bond with the assurance of an equal amount on his assault case. The controversial former county boss has been issued a Ksh. 300,000 bond.
The prosecution has resolved to deny him bail and insisted on it. However, it looks like it was a good day for Sonko as the judge granted him freedom on bail since the prosecutors lacked sufficient reasons to deny him bail.
