TIFA: UDA six times more popular than Jubilee in Murang’a

According to a poll conducted by TIFA Research, Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA party is six times more popular in Murang’a than President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party. In a poll issued on Thursday, UDA received 69 percent of the vote in Uhuru’s Murang’a backyard, while Jubilee received only 11 percent. Given this gap, TIFA believes that whoever gets the UDA candidacy for Murang’a’s various elective positions will have a significant advantage when voters go to the elections in August.

Given the vote-rich Mt. Kenya area, of which Murang’a is a part, whether Raila Odinga can close any/much of the margin between them in the remaining five months will be a huge issue,” TIFA said. The poll also revealed that the ODM party is the most popular in Busia, with 46% of the vote, followed by the DAP-K (9%), and the UDA (3%). (7 percent). With 76 percent of the vote in Busia, Raila is the most popular presidential candidate, followed by Ruto (12 percent). TIFA conducted a poll of 1,541 people between February 3 and February 9. The margin of error is 2.49 percent plus or minus.
The majority of Kenyans believe the presidential elections on August 9 will be free and fair, according to the poll. According to the report, 37% of Kenyans believe the election would be free of integrity challenges. This is despite the fact that DP Ruto, one of the leading candidates for the seat, has stated that the polls are likely to be rigged.
