Two Class Eight pupils from Kizingitini Kisiwa Primary School in Lamu East are nursing injuries after engaging in a physical altercation allegedly over a man

After a physical argument purportedly over a man, two Class Eight pupils from Kizingitini Kisiwa Primary School in Lamu East are nursing injuries.

The two minors, both 16, are claimed to have started fighting in class on Saturday over the man, a local disc jockey. According to accounts, one of the students started the fight by assaulting her friend with a hoe and cutting her face.

The girl who had been abused replied by stabbing her attacker in the arm with a knife. The two are being held at the Kizingitini Police Station pending arraignment in court after being brought to the hospital for treatment of their wounds.

Police have since launched investigations into the incident to determine the exact reason behind the squabble with the DJ who is currently in hiding.
