On Sunday morning, Ngunjiri, a close ally of President Uhuru, posted on his official Facebook account that Raila had 30 percent of the total eight million votes in Mt Kenya.If he chooses his deputy in Mt Kenya, his vote share will rise to 40%. He further indicated that if his handshake partner, President Uhuru, votes for him, the vote total will jump to 55 percent.
“There are 8 million votes in the Mt Kenya region. So far, Raila has received 30% of the vote (2.4 million votes). The DP from Mt. Kenya will reach 40% (3.6) million when we announce it. Uhuru will reach a population of 55 percent (4.4 million) once it lands. Make the necessary preparations.” Ngunjiri made the announcement on his Facebook page.
