University student Oscar Brighton charged with illegal possession of KCPE and KCSE exam papers

A university student has been accused of unauthorized possession of KCPE and KCSE exam papers in the Milimani Law Courts. Oscar Brighton, alias Jagongo, was charged with two counts when he appeared before chief magistrate Wendy Kagendo. He denied that he was detected with national examination material illegally obtained from an unknown location within the country on various occasions between March 7 and 10, 2022. He was also charged with revealing the details of exam materials to another individual via his cellphone.

The accused was also charged with a second count of unlawfully exposing the contents of test paper materials to another person using a mobile phone. He is believed to have committed the crime on the same dates and in the same location as others who are not in court. Brighton argued for reasonable bond terms before presiding Magistrate Wendy Micheni, denying the charges. He claimed to be blameless.He was freed on a Sh1 million bond.
