Afrogunda is a major group collective of talents that ought to educate and spread awareness of societal issues through Entertainment and culture, with an aim to help bring a positive change in society.
The group came to birth earlier this year with visions of major projects as it was seen with its powerful wave.
“Chagueni Presenters wenye wanaelewa mziki kulingana na kipindi,” Dully Sykes aliskika akiongea off-mic – Sunsetkenya
It hit the ground running since, in its compilation, the group had several talents from singers, producers, filmmakers, rappers, and even sponsors were on board.
One of its main assets was this Twende hitmaker, P Day Hurricane as known by many.
It hit the public by surprise to learn the greatest asset, P Day was leaving the group that according to him he played a major role in raising.
In a statement, P day stated, “ITS DEEP, SAD AND CONFUSING BT THE TRUTH IZ AM NO LONGER A MEMBER OF “AFROGUNDA” THE FUTURE’S NOT OURS TO SEE.”
Our team tried to dig down into this matter and try to get the reality of things out.
In our conversation with P Day, this is what he said, “Siwezi fanya kazi na watu wenye wivu bro. Huwezi songa hatua moja hadi ingine ikiwa umezungukwa na watu wasiopenda maendeleo.”
“I am one of the pioneers of Afrogunda. I came up with the idea. Tukakaribisha watu wenye malengo sawa na sisi lakini what I am experiencing now nashindwa kuelewa.” continued the Polivala singer.
“Sioni shida nikifanya kazi na Susumila. Susumila ni kakaangu mkubwa isitoshe amenitangulia kwa mziki. Sasa shida iko wapi nikifanya kazi naye?” complained the singer.
“Saa hii nakuambia nimetajwa kujiunga na Cartels kama wanavyosema.”
On the other hand, Afrogunda team members are sad to see Hurricane working closely with the said ‘Mombasa Cartels,’ the latest being his performance at Mama Ngina during the World Tourism Day gig.
The members have seen the singer defying their constitution which according to them is not to associate with the “Cartels” in question.
His charisma and hospitality have cost him his membership in the leading Afro Band music.
