A proposed amendment to the Central Bank Act sponsored by Migori Senator Eddy Oketch will give both the National Assembly and the Senate the authority to approve the nomination of the CBK Governor.
Oketch says currently only the National Assembly approves CBK Governor nominees, excluding the Senate, which represents county interests.
