The government warned that terror attacks could occur without warning, particularly in areas frequented by foreigners and tourists. It advised Australians to remain vigilant in public spaces such as shopping malls and places of worship.
Garissa, Mandera, and Marsabit counties were singled out as high-risk areas, with citizens strongly advised to avoid travel to these regions.
