Kenyans can now download and print birth certificates online through the eCitizen platform, eliminating the need to visit civil registry offices, Huduma Centres or other government offices to collect the document.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen announced the changes following a high level meeting at Nyayo House involving the State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services. The move was made in response to concerns raised during the Jukwaa la Usalama public engagements and is aimed at improving access to essential government services while reducing the time needed to obtain vital documents.
