A Malindi court has sentenced Justin Karisa Thoya to 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting a seven-year-old boy in Jacaranda, Kilifi County, on June 14, 2025.
Resident Magistrate Eva Mirriam Adhiambo handed down the sentence after finding Thoya guilty of defilement under Section 8(1) as read with Section 8(2) of the Sexual Offences Act.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) confirmed the conviction and sentencing.
