Police in Bungoma arrest middle-aged man suspected of murdering his wife, a police officer. Suspect allegedly hacked his wife to death on Saturday morning at their home in Kibisi, Bungoma County.
Victim was found with deep cuts to the neck and head injuries, believed to be inflicted by a sharp weapon.
The officer was off duty and had sought permission to attend a burial ceremony in Webuye. Suspect surrendered himself to the police after the incident.
A murder weapon was recovered, and the victim’s body was taken to Lugulu Mission Hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
