Brazilian winger Raphinha has been named La Liga Player of the Year following a standout season in which he helped Barcelona secure a domestic double.
Now in his third season with the club since joining from Leeds United, the 28-year-old registered 18 goals and nine assists. Known for his relentless work ethic, skillful dribbling, and defensive tracking, Raphinha proved pivotal in Barcelona’s success.
Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal was also recognized, winning the league’s Under-23 award.
Despite speculation linking Raphinha with a move away during the off-season, new head coach Hansi Flick made a decisive statement by naming him captain and extending his contract through July 2028.
