Police Officer Kills Wife and Man in Uasin Gishu Over Suspected Love Triangle
A night of fun ended in bloodshed after a drunken police officer shot and killed his wife and another man in a suspected love triangle in Uasin Gishu County.
The shocking incident happened on the night of Thursday, June 26, at a popular nightclub. Witnesses say the officer, a police constable, was drinking heavily when he allegedly discovered that his wife was romantically involved with another man.
In a fit of rage, the officer—armed with an AK-47 rifle—opened fire inside the club, killing both the woman and the man on the spot.
Panic gripped the revellers as gunshots rang out, prompting them to flee for safety. Nearby police officers were alerted and rushed to the scene.
The officer was later arrested and is currently in custody as investigations continue. Authorities have condemned the act and promised swift action to ensure justice is served.
